Last year Gartner predicted global IT spending to total $3.8 trillion in 2019 — a 3.2 percent increase from 2018. And as companies invest more than ever in digital, the amount of solutions available to them only continues to grow. The process of identifying and implementing the right sales enablement technology specifically can be daunting so you need to know where the players fit in the solution ecosystem.

To help companies better understand the space, Gartner recently published its 2018 Market Guide on Digital Content Management for Sales detailing the capabilities of various vendors in the sales enablement space. For the third consecutive year, Showpad was recognized in the Market Guide for Digital Content Management for Sales (DCMS) as a representative vendor.

DCMS applications, in Gartner’s definition, Encompass repositories, authoring tools, collaborative environments and interfaces for publishing, versioning and presenting content.”

The guide evaluates the current sales enablement landscape, offering a side-by-side comparison of 19 vendors in the industry and insights into how their capabilities measure up against one another. In Gartner’s analysis, Showpad checks all the boxes in the following capabilities: content repository management, content development and delivery, sales analytics, sales process integration, and integration and sales enablement platform capabilities.

According to the report, Showpad is continuing in its multiyear journey evolution to serve enterprises with multidisciplinary salesforces.
