Showpad has been named a Leader in the Aragon Research Globe™ for Revenue Enablement Platforms 2027, and in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant™ for Revenue Enablement Platforms. We’re honored by both. But the most useful part of the research isn’t the placement. It’s what the analysts say about where selling is headed, and what that means for the teams choosing a platform today.
The market is moving quickly. Gartner predicts sellers could have 10 AI agent teammates by 2028, and Aragon expects half of enterprise reps to work with three to four agents by the end of 2027.1 2 The productivity gain isn’t guaranteed, though. Gartner also predicts fewer than 40% of sellers will say agents improved their productivity. Showpad is built for this moment, with AI agents, coaching, and content that follow sellers into the field, grounded in governed context you can trust in front of a customer.
What the analysts recognized
Aragon evaluated 14 providers and recognized Showpad for:
- AI-driven coaching. Showpad Genie’s Roleplay AI offers a simulation builder, practice in 35+ languages, and automated feedback.
- Genie Agent Studio. Pre-configured agents for RFP response, competitive intelligence, and product comparison, governed by data guardrails your team controls.
- MCP Server support. Showpad connects to the wider AI ecosystem through open standards.
- A platform built for the field. Mobile-first, offline-ready delivery on iOS, Android, and Windows, for teams working where connectivity isn’t guaranteed.
- Connected data. Integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, and SAP, plus content, coaching, engagement, and performance analytics.
Gartner named Showpad a Leader, a placement it defines as follows: “Leaders deliver mature, unified, global Revenue Enablement Platforms that combine content, learning, coaching, buyer engagement, analytics and workflow guidance to meet diverse customer needs. They pair enterprise-grade execution with a forward-looking strategy for role-aware AI and agents with reasoning capabilities, enabling global organizations to automate work, provide contextual guidance, and attribute measurable outcomes to enablement efforts, such as seller productivity, ramp time, deal velocity, size and win rates.”
Forrester also named Showpad a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave™: Revenue Enablement Platforms, Q4 2026, with the highest score possible in the buyer engagement, implementation, and language support criteria.
Why this matters now
Field sellers get one chance to give the right answer, often in a hospital, on a plant floor, or at a customer site. Showpad Genie is built for that moment. Genie Agents help sellers find answers, prepare, and get work done faster — as of this month, even offline — grounded in approved content and commercial context.
That grounding matters. Gartner’s message to sales leaders is direct: AI agents aren’t a shortcut to productivity, and agents running on fragmented data and workflows will multiply the fragmentation. It recommends a centralized context layer that connects your data, systems, and seller judgment, and warns that companies without that layer risk agent sprawl: more digital activity, with little change in seller impact.
Genie MCP Connectors build that layer in Showpad. They bring information from across the revenue ecosystem into one place, alongside approved content, so Genie Agents answer with the full commercial picture.
That context also has to reach the tools sellers already use. Aragon advises using open standards like MCP to avoid lock-in. The Showpad MCP Server follows that advice, bringing governed content into AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce Agentforce, or Glean.
Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst at Aragon Research, summarizes the direction of the market: “Enterprises are moving toward digital coworkers for sellers, but they need data guardrails and open standards like MCP to deploy them with confidence. Showpad delivers both through Genie Agent Studio and its MCP server, with a mobile-first design built for field-centric sales organizations.”
Closing the execution gap in the field
So what should agents actually do? Gartner’s answer is simple: take work off sellers’ plates. Revenue Execution, a key solution area of Showpad’s Revenue Effectiveness Platform, is designed to do just that. It closes the gap between what sellers know and what they get done by automating the supporting work so consistent execution no longer depends on how much time each seller has. Gartner’s guidance is specific: use AI that reduces administrative burden and scales top-performer expertise.
Field Seller Agent does this on both sides of the meeting. Beforehand, it connects to the sources already running across your revenue stack, from CRM opportunity data to conversation insights from Gong through MCP connectors, and brings them together as deal-specific context so sellers arrive informed. Afterward, the seller records a voice memo, photo, or text note, and the agent creates structured CRM data, a multilingual summary, and a drafted follow-up email before they leave the customer site, online or offline. This is the CRM connection Aragon describes, where the platform keeps records updated in the background and sellers don’t have to, and it’s the kind of routine work Gartner says AI should take on.
Revenue leaders gain visibility into field conversations without relying on rep-entered updates. Revenue operations get more complete CRM data with no new administrative burden on sellers. And sellers get time back for selling, the capacity Gartner says leaders should measure.
What this recognition means for you
If you already work with Showpad, this reflects the work your teams do with us every day. If you’re evaluating platforms, don’t just take our word for it. Here’s how to put the research to work:
- Start with your sellers, not the quadrant. Write down the five or six things your field sellers can’t do without, such as offline access, buyer engagement, CRM updates without data entry, approved content in their language, and AI answers they can rely on. Rank them by what matters to your business.
- Read the research through the lens of your priorities. Read each vendor’s profile with your ranked list beside you, and note where their strengths match what your sellers need most. If you’re a Gartner client, use the interactive Critical Capabilities report to choose the use cases closest to your business and raise the weight on the capabilities field-centric teams depend on.
- Use Aragon’s advice as your demo questions. Ask each vendor about their data trust layer, audit trails, and support for open standards like MCP.
